Justine served as the moderator at MCLE’s “Employment Law Conference 2012” at the workshop on “Updates at the MCAD to Improve Your Practice” in December 2012.

award imageIn October 2012, Nina and Justine were honored to both be named Top Woman of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. This award celebrates legal educators, trailblazers and role models who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in their chosen fields.

US Supreme Court buildingOn October 1, 2012, the first Monday in October – which is the start of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Term – Nina chaired a program at the BBA reviewing and previewing U.S. Supreme Court employment cases of the past Term and the upcoming Term.

In September 2012, Justine will start her third term as Co-chair of the BBA Labor & Employment Law Steering Committee Continuing Legal Education Committee (CLE) for the 2012-2013 program year. Justine began her tenure on the CLE Committee of the Labor & Employment Law Steering Committee in September 2008. The CLE Committee is responsible for developing and overseeing the legal education programs for the Labor & Employment Law Steering Committee. Justine previously served as Co-chair of the CLE Committee for the 2004-2006 program year.

In July 2012, Justine was the Chair, moderator and a presenter of MCLE’s “Mock Trial of an MCAD Age Discrimination Case: Representing Employees and Employers in a Public Hearing” program.

award imageIn 2012, both Nina and Justine were named by Thomson Reuters/Boston Magazine as Massachusetts Super Lawyers, New England Super Lawyers, and Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts in the area of Employment & Labor Law.

employment law guide imageJustine was a Co-chair, moderator and a presenter and Nina was on the panel as a presenter at the Boston Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education’s “Employment Law Basics” featuring presentation of the Second Edition of the Boston Bar Association’s publication Employment Law Guide: A Practical Guide to Understanding Massachusetts Employment Law in March 2012.

Nina was a panelist for the Small Business Association of New England’s (SBANE’s) January 2012 Legal Update discussing recent Supreme Court decisions as well as the new state transgender statute and the new federal EEOC disability regulations.
